Salary: $67,953.60 Annually

POSITION SUMMARY: Assist in the management of the day to day operation, safety and security of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority's (GOAA) airline related facilities; including the Federal Inspection Station (FIS), Airport Operation Center (AOC), and airside areas.Responsible for accuracy of billing related to facilities usage and the accurate and timely communication of information regarding flights and facilities. Support the department manager in the administrative, budgetary, and operational issues for the Airline Division.


  • Oversee the daily operations ofallairline relatedfacilities.
  • Coordinate and administer assigned AirlineDivisionmaintenance, services,operationsand contracts.
  • Manage the performance levels ofDivisioncontracted personnel,verifyingcontract compliance.
  • Establish methods to integrate GOAA and contract personnel into effective teams to provide excellent customer service.
  • Develop and implement training programs and effective skill development programs and processes. Monitor outcomes and suggest improvements as needed.
  • Monitor staffing levels tomaintainadequate coverage. Assistwith adjustments as needed.
  • Develop, implement,andtrain staffregardingemergencyand contingency plans tomaintainexcellent customer service during system failure or other interruption of normal processes;modifyplans and coordinate emergency responseas needed.
  • Assistwith budget development and monitoring.
  • Make recommendations as needed to support changes to existing proceduresin order toenhance passenger and baggage processing, and/orconfirminclusionof all related charges.
  • Investigate and respond to issues,concernsand complaints from users ofGOAA'sfacilitiesand equipment.
  • Coordinate withother GOAAdepartments, government agencies, airline representatives, essential service operators, touroperatorsand skycaps on operational and maintenance activities inthe useof GOAAfacilities.
  • Provide operational direction and support to the staff (scheduling, training, evaluations, etc.).
  • May be assigned responsibility for the international trash facility andoverseeingthecoordination andremoval ofGOAA controlled compactors/dumpstersand international trash from the airport property.
  • Make recommendations, as needed, to support changes to existing policies and procedures for the Airline Division.
  • Supervise employees inassignedarea. Assign work; monitor hours of work and authorize time sheets; oversee quality, quantity and timeliness of work performed; confirm the compliance with established policy,procedureand standards. Advisemanagement of areas of concern and recommend solutions. Prepare and conduct performance evaluations; develop and provide training as needed. Participate in interviewing andselectionof employees, and recommend disciplinary action as needed. Provide forthe safety and security of the work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor degree in a related field and four (4) years experience in an airport/airline operations environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Supervisory experience required. Demonstrated supervisoryand leadershipskills
  • Excellent oral and written communications skillsand strong customer service skillsrequired, multi-lingual skills desiredKnowledge of Microsoft Officeprogramsrequired; knowledge of a Resource Management System preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, organize,prioritizeand manage multiple projects.
  • Attention to detail
  • Must be able and willing to work both standard and non-standard work schedules, including weekends to accommodate airport operations
  • Valid Floridadriver's license
