Paradigm is seeking a Clinical Preceptor. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mentor, train, and precept new and current Network Managers (NWM) and Business Contacts (BC) using Paradigm-standard tools, processes, and clinical practice guidelines.
- Provide oversight of preceptee work, including call participation, documentation review, productivity, and time management.
- Facilitate and oversee catastrophic cases to ensure quality, timeliness, compliance, QA metrics, and positive customer feedback.
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate virtual and/or in-person clinical training, learning activities, and shadowing experiences.
- Conduct ongoing performance assessments, document observations, provide constructive feedback, and submit recommendations to leadership.
- Serve as a clinical and practice resource, guiding preceptees to appropriate tools, policies, and educational materials.
- Collaborate with education specialists, operational leaders, and cross-functional partners to support clinical practice and business needs.
- Contribute to the development and management of continuing education content and programs for Network/Case Managers.
- Participate in meetings and organizational initiatives to build advanced knowledge of Paradigm processes and systems.
- May manage a limited caseload of NWM patients, as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Health related field preferred. Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) preferred with active, unrestricted licensure.
- Experience as a Network Manager, managing catastrophic injury and chronic pain conditions, demonstrating knowledge of case management services provided for catastrophically injured individuals.
- CCM certification required.
- Experience using EDDG is required.
- Thorough knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, standards of care for catastrophic diagnoses, case management, public and private resources required.
- Prior experience with mentoring, skill development, and teaching the adult learner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to simplify complex material for training and utilize negotiation/conflict resolution skills to resolve issues.
- Intermediate computer skills including working knowledge of the Internet, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and other tools/programs utilized for distance learning and webinar presentations.
- Ability to learn new processes quickly. Ability to analyze workflow and make recommendations for changing processes (e.g., simplifying) as appropriate.
- Awareness of jurisdictional regulations impacting patient care management, confidentiality and return to work. Follows standards of practice for case management for ethical and legal issues.
