Miller Electric Company is seeking a Delivery Driver to support the prefabrication and modularization operations by safely and efficiently transporting materials, skids, tools, and prefabricated assemblies to job sites and internal facilities. This role ensures timely, accurate deliveries while maintaining strong communication with warehouse and field teams to support project schedules.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Delivery & Transportation
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport prefabricated assemblies, materials, and tools to job sites and designated locations.
- Ability to Load, secure, and unload materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify delivery contents against packing lists, tickets, and project requirements.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet project timelines.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
Material Handling & Coordination
- Assist warehouse personnel with loading, staging, and organizing materials for delivery.
- Ensure proper handling of sensitive, high-value, or prefabricated components.
- Return unused materials, tools, and equipment to the warehouse with proper documentation.
- Support inventory accuracy by confirming delivered and returned quantities.
Communication & Documentation
- Maintain clear communication with Warehouse Manager, Logistics Manager, and field teams regarding delivery schedules and status updates.
- Obtain delivery confirmations, signatures, and required documentation at job sites.
- Report delivery discrepancies, damaged materials, or delays promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including dates, times, locations, and materials transported.
Vehicle Maintenance & Safety
- Perform daily vehicle inspections (pre-trip and post-trip) and report maintenance issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles.
- Ensure proper securing and compliance for all transported loads.
- Follow all safety protocols when operating vehicles and handling materials.
Support Functions
- Assist with warehouse operations during non-delivery periods, including staging, organization, and material handling.
- Support special deliveries, urgent requests, or project-specific logistics needs as required.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record (CDL preferred but not required, depending on vehicle type).
- 1+ years of delivery or construction material handling experience preferred.
- Knowledge of local routes, job site protocols, and safe driving practices.
- Ability to read delivery tickets, packing lists, and basic construction material documentation.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) preferred.
