This position requires independent judgment in the screening, evaluation, and assessment of Pre-K and Pre-K ESE students across district and community settings. The Diagnostician conducts developmental, educational, speech, and language evaluations; analyzes assessment data; and assists multidisciplinary teams in determining eligibility, placement, and appropriate instructional supports for young learners.
The Diagnostician provides speech and language therapy services to students with identified communication needs and develops intervention strategies that support language development, articulation, fluency, and social communication skills. Responsibilities include interpreting evaluation results, preparing reports and documentation, facilitating student placement processes, and providing consultation and technical assistance to school-based staff.
The Diagnostician collaborates with teachers, instructional staff, families, and community agencies to support student success and ensure services are provided in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines. Additional duties include supporting instructional staff through training, workshops, and coaching related to early childhood development, intervention strategies, and assessment practices.
