Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Director of Finance to help build and operationalize the corporate finance function within a growing, private equity-backed wealth management firm. This individual will play a critical role in establishing reporting infrastructure, supporting forecasting and budgeting, improving financial visibility, and creating scalable processes.
The ideal candidate thrives in a build-and-scale environment, is comfortable working through ambiguity, and has experience supporting M&A-driven growth, system implementations, and executive-level reporting.

What We Offer:
We're proud to offer a competitive salary, PTO & paid holidays, 401(k) with match, and more. The base salary range for this position is $170,000 - $200,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Drive annual budgeting, reforecasting, and monthly variance analysis across multiple business units, business lines, legal entities, etc., partnering with the Head of FP&A to support performance visibility and value creation.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including revenue and AUM forecasting, margin analysis, and advisor compensation analysis.
- Develop and enhance KPI dashboards and management reporting for senior leadership and the board.
- Support private-equity, investor, and lender reporting, including organic growth, acquisition tracking, and performance analytics.
Reporting & Controls
- Partner closely with Accounting to ensure timely, accurate monthly close and management reporting.
- Support the design and documentation of internal controls, reporting processes, and financial governance.
- Improve data integrity and consistency across financial systems, reporting tools, and entities.
- Assist with audit, lender, and other compliance-related requests where applicable.
Operational Finance
- Analyze profitability by advisor, client segment, business line, and acquisition.
- Support cost structure analysis and margin improvement initiatives.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization across finance and reporting workflows.
M&A Support
- Support financial diligence, modeling, and integration planning for acquisitions.
- Help standardize reporting, forecasting, and KPI frameworks across newly acquired entities.
- Maintain post-close visibility into acquisition performance, earnouts, and integration progress.
Systems & Infrastructure
- Support implementation and optimization of financial systems and reporting tools (including Workday and Power BI).
- Develop scalable templates, standardized reporting packages, and repeatable finance processes.
- Partner with technology and data teams to improve reporting efficiency and enable a single source of truth.
Qualifications:
- 7-10+ years of finance experience; financial services or wealth management preferred.
- Deep FP&A experience with strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Experience in a high-growth, private equity-backed, or carve-out environment preferred.
- Proven experience supporting budgeting and forecasting in multi-entity, multi-business-line organizations.
- Experience with financial systems implementations and reporting automation strongly preferred.
- CPA, MBA, or CFA preferred but not required.
- Advanced Excel required; experience with Workday, Power BI, or similar planning/reporting platforms is a strong plus.
- Travel up to 15%
