Compensation:
- Annual Salary: $62,233 - $81,556.80 based on experience
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced freestanding emergency care environment. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages, ranging from minor illnesses and injuries to acute and critical conditions. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent multitasking abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform triage assessments and prioritize patient care based on acuity levels
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency department patients
- Provide care to patients presenting with a wide variety of medical, surgical, and trauma-related conditions
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in clinical status
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and established protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Develop individualized patient care plans and establish expected outcomes
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
- Coordinate patient transfers, referrals, and additional services as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record
- Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and emergency care standards
- Deliver compassionate, patient-focused care in a high-volume emergency setting
Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing required
- Active Florida RN License, Multistate Compact License, or eligibility to obtain Florida licensure prior to start date
- Current BLS Certification required prior to employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Certification required within 90 days of hire
- ACLS Certification or ACLS Instructor Certification required within 90 days of hire
- PALS Certification or PALS Instructor Certification required within 90 days of hire
- Minimum 1 year of recent Acute Care Emergency Department RN experience required
- Critical Care experience may be considered in lieu of Emergency Department experience
- Strong critical-thinking and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple patients and manage competing demands effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient care situations
- Strong assessment and emergency response capabilities
- Commitment to providing safe, high-quality patient care
