As a Histologist, you will be responsible for preparing and processing tissue specimens to support accurate diagnostic review. You will oversee all phases of tissue processing, maintain laboratory standards, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Role Overview
As a Histologist, you will be responsible for preparing and processing tissue specimens to support accurate diagnostic review. You will oversee all phases of tissue processing, maintain laboratory standards, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of tissue processing from fixation through final slide preparation
- Perform embedding, sectioning, staining, and special histology techniques
- Maintain laboratory files, records, and documentation required by regulatory agencies
- Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments
- Monitor and restock laboratory supplies to support workflow needs
- Ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance across all histology processes
- Support timely preparation of specimens for diagnostic use
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education - Required
- High School Diploma or GED
Education - Preferred
- Completion of a Histotechnology program or related technical training
- Associate's degree in a related field
Experience
- Preferred: Laboratory-related experience
Licensure / Certification
- Required: ASCP Certified Histotechnician (HT)
- Preferred: Additional ASCP certification
