Position Summary
Mika Coral Gables by Michael White is seeking an enthusiastic, polished, and hospitality-driven Host/Hostess to join our front-of-house team. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, the Host/Hostess plays a vital role in creating a warm, welcoming, and seamless dining experience that reflects the restaurant's elevated service standards.
Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival
- Manage reservations and waitlists using reservation platforms
- Escort guests to tables while maintaining floor flow and seating rotation
- Communicate effectively with management and service staff regarding guest needs and table status
- Answer phone calls professionally and assist with guest inquiries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area
- Accommodate guest requests whenever possible with professionalism and poise
- Assist with opening and closing duties as needed
- Uphold the restaurant's service standards, appearance guidelines, and hospitality culture
- Previous host/hostess or hospitality experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
