-Constructs, repairs, and maintains brick, block, stone, tile and concrete structures including walls, walkways, curbs, retaining walls, and building exteriors.
-Prepares work sites by mixing mortar, cutting materials to size, and laying out patterns according to blueprints or specifications.
-Pours, forms, finishes and repairs concrete surfaces such as sidewalks, driveways, and pads.
-Installs and repairs ceramic tile, marble, terrazzo, and similar materials as needed.
-Inspects existing masonry structures to identify cracks, deterioration, or safety hazards and makes necessary repairs.
-Operates masonry tools and equipment such as trowels, mixers, saws, grinders, levels, and scaffolding.
-Reads and interprets blue prints, diagrams, work orders, and specifications to plan work assignments.
-Applies waterproofing, sealants, caulking, and protective coatings as required.
-Ensures compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and district standards.
-Maintains accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time worked.
-Maintains masonry tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and clean condition.
-Communicates with supervisors, vendors, and school staff regarding work assignments and progress.
-Performs additional related duties as assigned.
