Job Description
Client requires the service of one Systems Analyst to work under the direction of client's assigned Information Technology Services Business Systems Engineering (ITS-BSE) Project Manager. The skilled professional will join the ITS-BSE PALM team in a role that focuses on report development, documentation analysis, and customer communication. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills.
They are expected to use their skills to facilitate, document, and coordinate with the business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and ITS-BSE to ensure the reports are documented, tested, and ready for production implementation for client's financial unit by January 2026 when PALM is anticipated to go-live.
The person in this position must:
Demonstrate the ability to quickly comprehend and utilize existing documentation to understand system functionality.
Possess experience in developing reports using various development tools.
Understand logic of existing reports, some of which will be mainframe reports, and translate their functionality to an updated report as required by the PALM changes.
Develop comprehensive reports that present data and findings clearly and concisely.
Systems Analyst responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Facilitating work sessions with business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand PALM changes and their impact on client reports.
Gathering requirements and provide solution blueprints.
Performing gap analysis and document business process designs
Designing efficient report conversion methods with enhanced filtering and exporting capabilities
Documenting testing procedures, business rules, and report designs
Performing thorough testing to ensure reporting accuracy.
Providing regular status updates to the ITS-BSE Project Manager
Developing custom solutions using Oracle's analytics offerings i.e., Oracle Analytics Cloud (Dashboards, Infolets, Bi-Publisher), Oracle Data Visualization
Deliverables:
Converted, high-performing financial reports.
client required system deliverables.
Daily status reports to ITS-BSE Project Manager
Documented crosswalk between existing and new reports
Documented and executed test plans for each report.
Prepared and signed user acceptance documentation
Documented defect and resolution records
Executed test results for all required report functions.
Knowledge transfer to ITS-BSE team members
Mandatory Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Administration, or related IT fields
Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience as a Systems Analyst, with a focus on developing complex reports in Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), is required.
Experience with Oracle PLSQL / SQL
Experience with Oracle and SQL databases
Experience in using data integration process to connect Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) with various data source.
Proficient in Business Intelligence (BI) tools, data warehouses, and data modeling concepts
Ability to translate business requirements into analytics metadata.
Ability to analyze complex information and translate into actionable report specifications.
Integrate and transform data from diverse sources into meaningful insights using Oracle Analytics Cloud.
Proficient in comprehensive report writing utilizing Oracle Analytics Cloud, which encompasses data analysis and the graphical representation of information, including the preparation of graphs and charts.
Provide support to end - users for Oracle Analytics Cloud and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) solutions.
Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues in report development and functionality.
Experience in meeting facilitation and designing quality test processes.
Configure and Manage Oracle Analytics Cloud to deliver interactive dashboards and advanced analytics.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to accurately interpret and implement required changes based on customer feedback and business needs.
Ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
Accountable to the client assigned ITS-BSE Project Manager for report delivery.
Accountable for ensuring accurate conversion and functionality of critical financial reports.
Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
Use ETL tools (Oracle Data Integrator) to move and transform data, ensuring it's ready for analysis.
MS-Excel skills
Notes:
Contractor staff is expected to work a forty (40) hour work week. The duty hours will be set by client. Work hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on a Monday through Friday standard schedule. Contractors are expected to take a minimum of thirty minutes (to a 60-minute maximum) lunch break on a daily basis.
