Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Web Applications Programmer to support business modernization initiatives through data analysis, application support, reporting, and web-based solutions development. This role will work closely with stakeholders to identify business needs, analyze data, improve workflows, and support the development and maintenance of applications, dashboards, and reporting environments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, experience working with data visualization tools, and a desire to learn emerging technologies while contributing to process improvement and system modernization efforts.

Education
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Experience
  • 1-3 years of IT experience in application support, systems support, or related technical roles.
  • Experience with data analysis methodologies and business analysis principles.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or similar platforms.
  • Experience querying, extracting, cleaning, and analyzing data to identify trends and business insights.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing requirements, and maintain strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Process Improvement
  • Gather and analyze data to identify business needs and requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, functional specifications, and business cases.
  • Facilitate communication among project teams and support project coordination activities.
  • Perform process modeling and develop prototypes to support workflow optimization and modernization efforts.
  • Recommend process improvements and system enhancements aligned with organizational objectives.

Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools.
  • Perform data cleansing, transformation, and integration from multiple data sources.
  • Monitor dashboard performance and implement enhancements based on user feedback.
  • Maintain and update automated reports and reporting processes.
  • Analyze trends, patterns, and business metrics to support decision-making.

Application & Technical Support
  • Assist with the design, development, and maintenance of web applications and reporting environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic software and application issues.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior team members when appropriate.
  • Support testing activities for system enhancements and updates.
  • Assist with system modernization and data integration initiatives.

Documentation & Project Support
  • Gather and organize project information and documentation.
  • Document requirements, objectives, deliverables, workflows, and system processes.
  • Track project risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and current project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Enter and maintain support information within tracking systems.

Continuous Improvement
  • Research and learn new tools, technologies, and best practices.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and document findings.
  • Support the adoption of modern reporting, analytics, and automation solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills
  • Basic understanding of web applications, reporting environments, and relational databases.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database querying concepts.
  • Experience with tools such as:
    • Visual Studio
    • SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
    • Power BI or similar data visualization platforms
  • Understanding of data analysis techniques, including:
    • Data extraction
    • Data cleansing
    • Data transformation
    • Data integration
  • Familiarity with software testing and validation processes.
  • Ability to learn additional technologies and platforms as required.
