Accounting & Financial Compliance Specialist || Tallahassee, FL

Title: Accounting & Financial Compliance Specialist

Location : Tallahassee, FL (Onsite, Contract)

We are looking for an experienced Accounting/Financial Compliance professional to support Florida state and federal student financial aid programs.

Responsibilities

• Track and reconcile state and federal financial aid funds.
• Perform weekly and monthly fund reconciliations.
• Handle accounting, auditing, invoicing, and financial records.
• Conduct compliance reviews of nonpublic post-secondary institutions.
• Prepare and update accounting procedures and training materials.
• Use Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and Access.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Community College Accounting Certificate, or equivalent qualifying experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on FLAIR or Florida PALM experience.
• 3+ years of accounting, auditing, invoicing, or fund reconciliation experience.
• 2+ years of professional business/office experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Stable employment history/job tenure.

Preferred: Experience with Florida state government accounting and compliance reviews of colleges or post-secondary institutions.
