The Client is seeking an experienced Application Development Analyst with a deep understanding of full lifecycle system development, enterprise-level integration, and Java/J2EE technologies. The role involves translating business requirements into functional and technical designs, implementing scalable solutions, and engaging in cross-functional collaboration to support business and IT objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical documentation (TDD, SDD, traceability matrix, process flows)
- Analyze, design, develop, and implement software solutions using J2EE/JAVA, JBOSS, Oracle, and MS SQL environments
- Conduct technical research and apply industry best practices in solution architecture and integration
- Collaborate with business sponsors, architects, project managers, validation teams, and SMEs to manage issues, communicate progress, and mitigate risks
- Facilitate stakeholder communications and coordinate project activities across technical and business units
- Conduct high-level user acceptance testing (UAT), validate system changes, and support integration with internal/external systems
- Document technical designs, participate in procurement processes, and assist in contract evaluations
- Prepare weekly status reports and ensure timely delivery of project milestones
Mandatory Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
Experience:
- 15+ years as an Application Development Analyst or Systems Analyst on enterprise-level IT projects
- Expert knowledge across all phases of system development
- Proven experience in technical design, troubleshooting, testing, and debugging of enterprise applications
Technical Proficiency:
- Languages & Frameworks: Java 1.6+, J2EE (JSP, EJB, JPA/Hibernate), JSF, Wicket, Struts, Spring, Visual Basic, VB Script, JavaScript, ASP, XML
- Web Technologies: XHTML, HTML5, CSS, SOAP/REST Web Services
- Application Servers: JBOSS EAP/Fuse/AMQ, Apache Tomcat, Apache HTTP, WebLogic 7.0
- Tools: Eclipse, IntelliJ, JBDS, Notepad++, Textpad, SOAP UI, IReport Designer
- Content Management Systems: Alfresco, Activiti, Ephesoft
- Databases: Oracle 11g+, MS SQL Server, MySQL - stored procedures, views, triggers
- Other Integrations: Payment gateways, VB DLLs, automation of data sharing processes
- OS & Scripting: Linux, Shell scripting, awk, sed
Preferred Skills:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Experience with Oracle EBS 12.1
- Tools: Active Report, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Project
