Leon County Schools is seeking dynamic, dedicated, and student-centered educators to join our Assistant Principal Pool. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a commitment to instructional excellence, and the ability to foster a positive school culture that supports student achievement and success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the principal to implement school-wide initiatives and programs that promote academic excellence and student success.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring the school improvement plan to ensure alignment with district goals and priorities.
• Support teachers through professional development, instructional coaching, and collaborative practices that strengthen classroom instruction.
• Monitor student achievement, behavior, and overall well-being while implementing strategies to meet diverse student needs and maintain a positive school climate.
• Build strong partnerships with parents, families, community members, and other stakeholders to support student success.
• Assist with daily school operations, including staff supervision, scheduling, resource management, and compliance with district policies and procedures.

Pool Placement and Consideration:
Applying to the Assistant Principal Pool does not guarantee an interview. The selection process begins with a blind review of each applicant?s Dimensions submission by three district director raters. Based on the Dimensions ratings and the needs of the district, a group of candidates will be selected to advance to the interview stage.
Interviews will be conducted by a panel of district directors using a rubric. Following the interviews, candidates will be evaluated based on their interview results, combined with their Dimensions scores, and the needs of the district. Candidates will then be selected for placement in the Assistant Principal Pool.
Once selected for the pool, candidates will be considered for assistant principal vacancies for a period of three years. Placement in the Assistant Principal Pool does not guarantee appointment to an assistant principal position.
Salary: From 70000.00
Salary: To 80000.00
