Responsibilities
- Teaches undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Music Therapy or related areas. Courses will be selected from current area offerings and/or implemented in the candidate's area of expertise.
- Supervises clinical music therapy experiences.
- Directs doctoral and master's-level committees.
- Conducts research and scholarly activities related to their interests and areas of expertise.
- Engage in recruitment of outstanding students.
- Develop and maintain community partnerships.
- Participates in university and professional service activities appropriate to rank.
Qualifications
- Academic doctorate or highest-level terminal degree from an accredited institution in Music Therapy or related area.
- Credentialing through the Certification Board for Music Therapists (MT-BC) is required. Minimum of five years of full time (or equivalent) clinical experience as an MT-BC is also required.
- A record of successful university-level teaching experience.
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical musicianship as a practicing professional.
- Experience as a clinical supervisor.
