Job Summary
Comfort Temp is seeking a Commercial Service Plumber to join our growing team. This position is commercial service only focused on diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing plumbing systems in large commercial facilities with complex plumbing infrastructure (for example: grocery stores like Publix, retail, large commercial buildings, and other high-demand facilities).
This role is ideal for a service-minded plumber who enjoys troubleshooting, working independently in the field, and providing professional, customer-facing service-especially in environments that include mechanical rooms, multiple boilers, recirculating pumps, and a wide range of commercial valves and fixtures.

You'll work on commercial-grade domestic water distribution systems, including:
Commercial Drain Systems (Including Schedule 80)
You'll work on commercial drain and waste systems that commonly include:

You'll be expected to confidently service and repair commercial-grade plumbing devices including:
Mechanical Rooms (Must-Be Comfortable Here)
Commercial facilities often include mechanical rooms with multiple critical systems. You must be comfortable working around and servicing plumbing components in mechanical rooms that include:
Multiple system branches and a variety of valves serving different areas and equipment Tight access, high-importance shutdown planning, and coordination with site contacts

What You'll Do (Role & Responsibilities)
Commercial Service & Troubleshooting
- Travel to commercial job sites as scheduled for service and repair calls
- Diagnose plumbing issues using strong service logic and step-by-step troubleshooting
- Repair and maintain commercial plumbing systems and fixtures to restore operation quickly and safely
- Communicate findings, recommended repairs, and next steps clearly to property managers, site contacts, and internal teams
- Document work performed with accurate service notes, photos (when applicable), and job details
Commercial Water Systems (What "Water Lines" Means Here)
You'll work on commercial-grade domestic water distribution systems, including:
- Copper water lines (installation, repair, modifications, tie-ins, and replacements)
- Hot and cold domestic water piping and service connections
- Recirculation lines and circulation-related troubleshooting (where applicable in the building)
- Isolation and control points throughout the system (shutoffs and valve sections)
Commercial Drain Systems (Including Schedule 80)
You'll work on commercial drain and waste systems that commonly include:
- Schedule 80 drain piping (as used on applicable commercial systems and requirements)
- Floor drains (troubleshooting, repair, rebuild/replace as needed)
- Air gap drains / indirect waste connections (ensuring proper drainage paths and function)
- Runoff drains (drainage pathways that support facility operations and water control)
- Drain service work (clearing, diagnosing recurring issues, identifying root causes)
Commercial Fixtures, Valves, and Equipment
You'll be expected to confidently service and repair commercial-grade plumbing devices including:
- Flushometers (including troubleshooting performance issues and rebuild/replace work)
- Sensor valves (diagnosis, repair/replacement, and operational verification)
- Mixing valves and thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs) (service, troubleshooting, and proper function checks)
- Valves common to commercial systems (isolation, balancing-related components where applicable, and serviceable control valves)
- Plumbing components tied into larger mechanical systems
Mechanical Rooms (Must-Be Comfortable Here)
Commercial facilities often include mechanical rooms with multiple critical systems. You must be comfortable working around and servicing plumbing components in mechanical rooms that include:
- Commercial boilers
- Recirculating pumps
Multiple system branches and a variety of valves serving different areas and equipment Tight access, high-importance shutdown planning, and coordination with site contacts
Professional Standards
- Read and interpret work orders, prints/specs (when provided), and applicable codes
- Follow all safety standards, company procedures, and jobsite requirements
- Maintain service vehicle organization, tool readiness, and parts inventory discipline
Requirements & Qualifications (Must-Have)
- 3-5 years of commercial plumbing service experience (must-have)
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair commercial plumbing systems (not residential-only experience)
- Hands-on experience working with commercial fixtures and valves, including:
- Flushometers and sensor valves
- Mixing valves and thermostatic mixing valves
- Mechanical-room exposure involving commercial boilers and recirculating pumps
- Experience working with:
- Copper water lines
- Schedule 80 drain piping (in applicable commercial settings)
- Floor drains, air gap drains, and runoff drains
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and perform physical field work safely
- Strong customer service presence: professional communication, clean workmanship, and respect for occupied facilities
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with strong time management
