Responsibilities

Responsible for conducting EO investigations and coordinating operational activities for EOCE in the Human Resources office with a specific focus on Title VII and Title IX.
  • Receive and process student, faculty, and staff inquiries or complaints of harassing behavior, Title IX violations, sexual misconduct, or issues related to EO/AA policies and procedures. Prepare and process all complaints, conducts investigations, and prepare disposition notifications to appropriate individuals. Interprets applicable laws, policies, rules, procedures, and guidelines and provides technical assistance, advice, and consultation to University management, administrators, faculty, and staff.
  • Supports the coordination of Title IX efforts in Human Resources to include the development, implementation, and monitoring of appropriate policies, procedures, grievance processes and training programs related to, and in compliance with the federal and state laws and regulations within the office's jurisdiction, such as, but not limited to: Title VI and VII of Civil Rights Act, Title IX of the Education Amendments, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act, the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013 and Executive Order 11424, as amended).
  • Supports Director of EOCE in overall coordination of relevant program areas. Keeps supervisor informed of significant developments and issues related to the complaint/investigation process.
  • Develops, coordinates and facilitates training of University staff on the fundamentals of EEO, ADA, SH, and any specialized training as needed.
  • Works on special projects related to EEO, SH, AA, or ADA, as directed by immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

Master's degree and four years of experience related to administrative services or a Bachelor's degree and six years of related experience. (Higher education can substitute for experience at the comparable rate.)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of EEOC and FCHR processes and timelines, with experience preparing agency responses, maintaining case documentation, and ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws.
