Provide leadership, organization, and overall supervision of the middle school football program.
Plan, organize, and conduct practices that develop football fundamentals, position-specific skills, conditioning, teamwork, and game strategy.
Develop season practice plans, game plans, and player development programs appropriate for middle school student-athletes.
Recruit, supervise, mentor, and evaluate assistant coaches while promoting consistency in coaching philosophy and expectations.
Assign coaching responsibilities and coordinate staff to ensure effective instruction and supervision.
Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, travel, locker room activities, and all team-related events.
Ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes by enforcing proper football techniques, conditioning, equipment use, and concussion awareness protocols.
Verify that all student-athletes meet district and school eligibility requirements, including academic standards and required athletic documentation.
Promote academic achievement by monitoring student-athlete progress and encouraging responsible classroom performance.
Foster leadership, teamwork, discipline, integrity, respect, accountability, and positive character development.
Maintain high standards of sportsmanship and ethical conduct among players, coaches, and spectators.
Coordinate with the Athletic Director regarding schedules, transportation, equipment, officials, game-day operations, and facility needs.
Oversee the inventory, issuance, maintenance, collection, storage of football uniforms, helmets, pads, and equipment.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure football equipment meets established safety standards.
Prepare practice fields and game facilities or coordinate preparation with appropriate school personnel.
Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, assistant coaches, the Athletic Director, school administration, and faculty.
Maintain accurate team rosters, attendance records, equipment.

Supervise student-athletes until they are released to a parent or guardian.
SEASONAL ONLY POSITION
In order to be considered for this position, applicant must currently possess a valid athletic coaching certificate, or a valid teaching certificate issued by the Florida Department of Education.
