Housekeeper / Room Attendant

Job Responsibilities

• Clean and tidy guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, and dusting surfaces.
• Replenish room supplies such as toiletries, towels, and refreshments.
• Vacuum carpets and rugs; sweep and mop floors.
• Sanitize bathrooms, including cleaning toilets, sinks, showers, and mirrors.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Adhere to hotel standards and procedures in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms.
• Inspect rooms for damages, maintenance needs, and safety hazards, and report any issues to management.
• Assist with laundry services as required, including washing, drying, and folding linens.
• Restock housekeeping carts with necessary supplies for the day's work.
• Follow hotel policies and procedures for cleaning standards and guest privacy.
• Dispose of trash and recyclables in designated areas.
• Ensure all room appliances and fixtures are in working order.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests and inquiries promptly.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of hotel amenities and services to assist guests effectively.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work preferred
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good physical stamina; ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to hotel standards
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Proficiency in basic cleaning equipment and chemical usage
• Customer service-oriented with a friendly and professional demeanor
