Assist the teacher in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities
Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to reinforce concepts
Support students with varying academic needs, including those with IEPs or learning challenges
Help adapt instructional materials to meet student needs
Assist with maintaining a structured, organized, and positive classroom environment
Reinforce classroom rules and behavior expectations
Support behavior intervention plans and monitor student behavior
Monitor students during arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, and transitions
Ensure student safety at all times within the school environment
Escort students to various locations as needed (e.g., restroom, specials, services)
Provide social, emotional, and behavioral support to students
Assist students with completing assignments and staying on task
Support students with special needs, including physical or personal care when required
Prepare instructional materials (copies, learning aids, displays)
Record attendance, grades, or student progress as directed
Assist with organizing classroom supplies and maintaining records
Work closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff
Participate in meetings, training, and professional development
Communicate effectively with staff regarding student progress and needs
Assist with school events, field trips, and activities
Provide classroom coverage when needed
Perform other duties assigned by the teacher or administration

Frequent interaction with students, staff, and parents
May involve standing, walking, lifting, and active supervision
