Assist teachers with implementing instructional activities and classroom assignments.
Provide individual and small-group assistance to students as directed by the teacher.
Reinforce concepts and skills taught by the classroom teacher.
Assist students with completing assignments, projects, and classroom activities.
Support students with organization, time management, study skills, and classroom routines.
Assist with preparing instructional materials, displays, and classroom resources.
Monitor student work and provide appropriate feedback under the direction of the teacher.
Encourage students to participate appropriately in classroom activities.
Assist students in developing positive academic and social behaviors.
Provide appropriate support to students who may need additional assistance with classroom expectations.
Help students transition between classes, activities, and other school settings as assigned.
Maintain student confidentiality and protect the privacy of student records and information.
Serve as a positive role model for students.
Assist the teacher in maintaining an orderly, safe, and supportive classroom environment.
Monitor student behavior and reinforce established classroom and school expectations.
Assist with behavior-management strategies as directed by the teacher and/or administration.
Report significant behavioral, academic, or safety concerns to the appropriate staff member.
Help supervise students in classrooms, hallways, lunchrooms, assemblies, field trips, and other assigned areas.
Work cooperatively with teachers, administrators, counselors, support personnel, and other school staff.
Follow instructional and supervisory directions provided by the assigned teacher and school administration.
Communicate student concerns to the appropriate staff member.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and other activities as required.
