Responsibilities

The Florida Center for Public Management (FCPM), an affiliate of the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy, invites applicants for a full-time, 12-month faculty position.
  • Teach the Certified Public Manager (CPM) courses in Tallahassee and across the state of Florida as needed, this could include up to 50% travel.
  • Assist in the development and update of the CPM curriculum as needed, and grade CPM assignments and exams on a recurring basis.
  • Plan, coordinate, deliver CPM Level 8 events, and facilitate special projects as assigned by the FCPM director.
  • Serve as back-up CPM student liaison. Collaborate with the FCPM director in the planning and delivery of leadership workshops in Tallahassee and, as needed, across the state.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in Public Administration, Adult Education, Organizational Management, or a comparable field, and at least three (3) years of leadership experience.
  • Completion of the Certified Public Manager program is required.
  • Experience teaching the Certified Public Manager program.
  • Extensive stand-up training experience on various management/leadership topics.
  • Experience researching, developing, and writing curriculum for leadership training programs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
