Senior Laboratory Technician $21.90 - $27.36
The purpose of this position is to aid laboratory staff with sample custody and clerical activities. This is accomplished by logging samples; inputting data into computer systems; maintaining files; disposing of samples; preparing sample bottles kits; managing paperwork and maintaining inventory. Other duties include ordering supplies; and performing all sample custodial duties.Essential Functions
Laboratory Technician II:
Provides administrative and clerical support by answering inquires; replying to e-mails; managing files; communicating with internal and external customers; and maintaining inventory for activities in the sample receiving section.
Verify completion of the Chain of Custody, verify holding times of the samples, take sample temperatures and pH and log samples in LIMS.
Place orders, keep track of orders, receive orders, download Safety Data Sheets, Certificate of Analysis and log the supplies in LIMS.
Sample disposal and sample kit preparation.
Prepare coolers to be sent out with appropriate paperwork, schedule pick-up times.
Take the temperature of various incubators and refrigerators throughout the lab twice a day.
Assist chemist with sample testing.
All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Laboratory Technician II:
A minimum of an associate's degree in science, biology or environmental science. Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
Previous relevant work experience is preferred but not required.
Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class E Driver's License.
Senior Lab Tech:Two years of relevant expereince
An associate's degree in science, biology, or environmental science. Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class E Driver's License.
