Job Title: Customer Service Specialist

Position Description:

We are seeking Customer Service Specialists to provide phone-based support to Florida high school and college students regarding scholarships, grants, and related student assistance programs.

The ideal candidate should have strong customer service and communication skills, be comfortable working with computers, and be able to remain calm and professional when assisting customers who may be stressed or upset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer inbound calls from high school and college students.
  • Respond to questions related to scholarships, grants, and student assistance programs.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service.
  • Listen carefully to customer concerns and provide appropriate assistance.
  • Research information and assist customers with their questions.
  • Accurately document customer interactions and information.
  • Use computer systems and standard office applications to perform daily responsibilities.
  • Maintain professionalism when dealing with difficult or frustrated customers.
  • Follow established procedures and guidelines.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced customer service environment.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a professional environment.
  • Minimum 6 months of customer service/support experience.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to speak and understand English.
  • Comfortable using computers and computer-based systems.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with stressed or upset customers.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational and documentation skills.
  • Must demonstrate strong job tenure and employment stability.

Preferred Experience
  • Call center or contact center experience.
  • Inbound customer service experience.
  • Experience handling high call volumes.
  • Experience working with students, education programs, financial assistance, or government services.
  • Experience using CRM, customer support, or case-management systems.
