Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) - Med-Surg Oncology for an exciting Local job in Tallahassee, FL.
Responsibilities
- Collect comprehensive clinical assessment data pertinent to oncology patients and their immediate healthcare needs.
- Analyze assessment findings and develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care.
- Implement and evaluate nursing interventions to support optimal patient outcomes.
- Deliver specialized nursing care to adult oncology and medical-surgical patients.
- Advocate for patient safety, comfort, and individualized treatment preferences.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, procedures, and recovery expectations.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care.
- Ensure effective utilization of clinical supplies, equipment, and departmental resources.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Promote a patient-centered environment focused on quality outcomes and compassionate care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License or Compact RN License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care Med-Surg RN experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire; required within 6 months.
- Previous Oncology nursing experience.
- Strong clinical assessment, patient education, and care coordination skills.
- Experience working in fast-paced acute care environments.
Unit Details
- Patient-to-Nurse Ratio: 1:5 to 1:6.
