- Provides administrative support to the Environmental Health and Safety Director
- Maintains administrative control of records related to safety programs
- Creates professional Power Point trainings and coordinates safety training for employees
- Prepares and distributes memos and reports
- Maintains OSHA 300 log records
- Coordinates safety training for new employees
- Prepares and distributes memos and reports
- Compiles and maintains case and claim files with appropriate documentation
- Initiates communication and collaborates with employees/clients and insurance providers to control losses as a result of property damage
- Administers all aspects of workers compensation to include, but not limited to obtaining and reviewing documents, such as photographs, police reports, damage estimates and preparing reports for submission to the insurance provider
- Coordinates return-to-work efforts
Job Requirements
- Two years to four years of college preferred, or related experience in workers' compensation/liability claims administration
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of and experience with Microsoft EXCEL, WORD and POWERPOINT at an intermediate level as necessary to perform the tasks required of this position
- Some related experience with OSHA, DOT or general safety
- Ability to prioritize tasks in order to achieve goals and meet deadlines
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in order to represent the organization in a professional manner
- Must be able to work full-time (40 hours / week) in a corporate environment
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels in the organization
- Must pay attention to detail and possess excellent follow-through skills
- Must be able to work independently (without supervision)
- Bi-lingual preferred, but not required
- Minimal Travel for training seminars
