Job Summary
The SAP ABAP Consultant is responsible for designing, developing, and configuring SAP ABAP solutions to support business processes while ensuring alignment with SAP application best practices. This role involves technical development, system performance optimization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient SAP solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and configure SAP ABAP solutions to support business processes in alignment with SAP ABAP best practices.
- Develop and enhance applications using IDOCs, BDC, Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, and Reports in SAP ECC 5.0 and ECC 6.0 environments.
- Create and maintain Interactive, Drill-Down, and ALV Reports.
- Implement User Exits, Dialog Programming, Interfaces, and Table enhancements.
- Perform performance tuning across SAP PIA layers, database SQL, and supported SAP architecture.
- Utilize service ticketing and change management tools such as ClearQuest.
- Assess technical and functional requirements and provide technical guidance to development and support teams.
- Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate user and system requirements.
- Support SAP system setup, configuration, and implementation activities at client locations as required.
- Entry to Senior Level: Experience in SAP ABAP development or related SAP roles.
- Strong knowledge of SAP ABAP programming and SAP ECC environments.
- Experience with SAP interfaces, reports, forms, and performance optimization.
- Understanding of SAP system architecture and database interaction.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Must be willing to travel to client locations within the United States for short-term and long-term assignments, including unanticipated SAP system setup and implementation activities.
