Responsibilities
This position is responsible for providing specialized administrative, operational, and fiscal management support for the Institute of Governance and Civics.
- Serves as the personnel manager for the Institute for Governance and Civics. Facilitates all new hire employment processes through the FSU onboarding process. Collects and maintains all new hire documentation. Follows up with new hires ensuring onboarding tasks are completed prior to first day. Provides support for all personnel matters such as resignations, reclassifications, dual compensations. Conducts reference and employment verifications. Interviews and supervises OPS students for the Institute. Supervises, trains, and evaluates administrative associate.
- Provides sound fiscal management to the Institute for Governance and Civics. Ensures accurate processing of budget, expenditures, and payroll. Analyzes, prepares, reviews and disseminates budget reports to the Associate Director. Provides projections and account balances to the Associate Director on a quarterly basis.
- Oversee contracting and procurement activity for the institute. Manage Purchase Orders. Serves as the OMNI Power receiver. P-card holder and P-card proxy.
- Serves as the departmental representative for FACET/AOR development and processing. Corrects errors and adjustments on behalf of the faculty of the department. Develop reports for the Director and Associate Director on faculty effort and assignments, as needed.
