Senior Customer Partner-Transformation & Growth -Power & Utilities
Here at Siemens, we take pride in enabling sustainable progress through technology. We do this through empowering customers by combining the real and digital worlds. Improving how we live, work, and move today and for the next generation! We know that the only way a business thrives is if our people are thriving. That's why we always put our people first. Our global, diverse team would be happy to support you and challenge you to grow in new ways. Who knows where our shared journey will take you?
Transform the everyday with us!
Our customers are navigating some of the most complex transformation challenges of the decade.
In Power & Utilities and Energy, customers are modernizing aging grid infrastructure, integrating renewables at scale, improving reliability and resiliency, and building the digital backbone for the next generation of energy delivery. At the same time, rapid growth in data centers and AI-driven compute demand is creating major new load requirements, putting pressure on utility planning, interconnection timelines, transmission capacity, substations, transformers, and resource adequacy. Utilities are balancing regulatory pressure, affordability concerns, cybersecurity risk, and the need to move from legacy systems to more connected, data-driven operating models that can support both the energy transition and accelerating demand growth.
The Senior Customer Partner isn't just a bigger book of business — it's a different kind of leadership. You're shaping how Siemens shows up in an entire industry. You're the person in the room when a CEO is deciding whether to bet their transformation agenda on us. You're not just running an account — you're defining a market. If that's the conversation you want to have, read on.
At Siemens Advanta, we bridge the real and digital worlds to help the world's most complex industries move faster, operate smarter, and grow stronger. We are seeking a Senior Customer Partner – Transformation & Growth to operate at the VP level — with the capacity to both shape and lead a strategic market vertical and run a large multinational account.
If you've spent your career building and leading executive relationships across Power & Utilities and Energy — and you're ready to help utilities modernize the grid, address growing demand from data centers and AI-driven load growth, and define how Siemens wins in this market — this role was built for you.
You'll make an impact by:
Own the Account. Lead the Relationship.
- Serve as the primary Siemens Advanta executive for one or more priority Power & Utilities and Energy accounts, with responsibility for shaping relationships across utilities facing grid modernization, reliability, resiliency, and load growth challenges.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with C-suite and VP-level utility stakeholders, including technology, operations, grid modernization, customer, and finance leaders making major investment decisions across transmission, distribution, data, and digital transformation.
- Serve as the senior Siemens executive sponsor for key utility accounts, ensuring coordinated engagement across local, regional, and global Siemens structures.
- Synchronize with Siemens Key Account Managers and Siemens Grid Software leaders to elevate conversations to the enterprise level, helping utilities navigate the full breadth of the Siemens ecosystem.
Shape the Vertical. Drive the Market.
- Help drive the Power & Utilities go-to-market strategy, translating sector trends such as grid modernization, renewables integration, data center load growth, reliability, resiliency, and regulatory pressure into a scalable commercial agenda for Siemens Advanta NAM.
- Develop and execute tailored account and vertical growth strategies that create new utility opportunities, expand existing relationships, and position Siemens Advanta as a strategic transformation partner to the sector.
- Represent Siemens externally as a Power & Utilities industry leader, bringing market insight, customer perspective, and strategic relevance to utility transformation, grid modernization, and energy transition conversations.
- Maintain executive discipline across forecasting, account planning, risk management, and pricing to convert complex utility opportunities into long-term, profitable growth.
Sell Outcomes. Deliver Value.
- Sell professional and managed services at scale, structuring multi-year, outcome-based engagements tied to grid modernization, digital transformation, asset performance, data platforms, and operational resilience. You understand that in this business, the sale doesn't end at signature.
- Shape integrated utility transformation opportunities that leverage the full breadth of Siemens, including Siemens Grid Software, Smart Infrastructure, Digital Industries, Siemens Advanta, and the Siemens Xcelerator ecosystem.
- Lead complex utility pursuits and strategic dealmaking across geographies, business units, functions, and stakeholders, from early shaping through negotiation and closure.
- Partner with solution, delivery, and specialty teams to develop compelling executive narratives, differentiated proposals, and transformation roadmaps for senior utility decision-makers.
Orchestrate the Ecosystem. Multiply the Impact.
- Orchestrate complex internal and external ecosystems, aligning Siemens business units, grid software teams, delivery organizations, and strategic partners to accelerate execution, value realization, and customer impact for utilities. You've done this before and have a specific example of how you made it work.
- Mobilize partner capabilities to support faster scaling, repeatable solutions, and improved transformation experiences across Power & Utilities accounts.
- Elevate utility customer conversations to the enterprise level, helping clients navigate complexity, prioritize grid and digital transformation initiatives, and unlock measurable business value.
We are looking for a Sr. Customer Partner-Transformation & Growth, and this is a remote position based in the United States.
You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in strategic account leadership, transformation sales, or enterprise business development.
- Minimum 5 years of direct, hands-on experience selling into or operating within Power & Utilities/Energy at a senior level — you've been in the room with the CISO, the CIO, utility operations leaders, and executive decision-makers responsible for grid modernization, reliability, and transformation.
- 10 + years of experience selling professional or managed services at scale — structuring multi-year, outcome-based engagements and managing delivery accountability across complex organizations.
- 10+ years of experience owning large, multinational accounts and/or leading a market vertical with measurable commercial outcomes.
- 10+ years of experience in orchestrating multi-party ecosystems — aligning internal business units, external partners, and delivery organizations around a shared customer outcome.
- Willingness and ability to travel 50–70%.
- Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or a related technical or scientific field.
- Executive presence and the ability to operate credibly at the VP and C-suite level — inside Siemens and in front of customers.
- Familiarity with Siemens portfolios across Digital Industries, Smart Infrastructure, and Advanta — or a demonstrated ability to learn and connect complex capability sets quickly.
- Experience in additional priority vertical: Power and Utilities
- Experience developing and executing multi-geography pursuit strategies in matrixed organizations.
- Background at a management consulting firm (e.g., Accenture, Deloitte, IBM, Capgemini), industrial technology company, or systems integrator — where selling services and delivering outcomes were inseparable.
- Deep understanding of how to navigate matrixed organizations and align stakeholders around transformation priorities.
- Strong commercial acumen including opportunity shaping, business case development, and negotiation.
- Entrepreneurial, data-driven, and outcome-oriented - you operate well in ambiguity and move fast when the opportunity is clear.
- Passion for the specific industries you serve - genuine curiosity about how Life Sciences, Energy, or Defense customers think, operate, and make decisions.
