This teacher resource position serves as our Dean of Students.
• Promote and maintain a positive school climate that supports student learning and well-being.
• Implement and monitor the school's student behavior and discipline program.
• Address student behavioral concerns using restorative practices and positive behavior interventions.
• Investigate and document student incidents and disciplinary matters.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to develop behavior improvement plans.
• Assist with student supervision during arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, assemblies, and school events.
• Monitor student attendance and work with families to improve attendance and reduce tardiness.
• Meet with students and parents regarding academic, attendance, and behavioral concerns.
• Support conflict resolution and facilitate problem-solving among students.
• Assist in implementing school-wide character education and social-emotional learning initiatives.
• Analyze student behavior and attendance data to identify trends and recommend interventions.
• Ensure compliance with district policies, procedures, and student code of conduct requirements.
• Participate in parent conferences, faculty meetings, and professional development activities.
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and community stakeholders.
