Design and deliver a freshman-level Economics and Critical Thinking curriculum that integrates core economic principles (supply and demand, scarcity, opportunity cost, market structures, personal finance) with critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills.
Develop and facilitate a semester-long (or unit-based) business model project in which students research, design, and present an original business concept, applying economic concepts such as cost structure, revenue streams, target market analysis, and competitive positioning.
Prepare students to earn an industry-recognized QuickBooks certification by teaching foundational accounting and bookkeeping principles, including chart of accounts, invoicing, expense tracking, payroll basics, and financial statement preparation within the QuickBooks platform.
Align classroom instruction and assessments with QuickBooks certification exam objectives, tracking student progress and providing targeted remediation to ensure certification readiness.
Create and grade assessments (quizzes, tests, projects, presentations) that measure both economic literacy and critical thinking competencies such as argument evaluation, data interpretation, and evidence-based decision-making.
