- Follow regular teacher's lesson plans in a way that ensures consistency and optimal learning, and that encourages students to participate
- Follow school safety plan
- Follow Student Code of Conduct/District Discipline Plan
- Assign classwork and homework as necessary, according to lesson plans
- Modify teaching styles to fit the learning styles of various students
- Maintain a well-managed classroom and positive learning environment
- Supervise students out of class such as in the hallways, cafeteria, playground.
- May be required to assist with supervision of students during dismissal.
- Other duties as assigned.

Preference will be given to applicants with teaching experience and applicants with work experience in a school environment.
Applicants must reflect at least five years of work experience, including gaps of employment.

Applicants must be twenty-one (21) years of age to be considered for employment.
High-school diploma or equivalent.
Required to work a minimum of four (4) days per month.
Required to work one (1) Monday, and one (1) Friday each month.
Hourly as needed. Hours worked vary depending on school location, and assigned teacher - substitutes must available for the full working day each day of availability.
Once hired, applicant will be required to complete on-line substitute training course.
While working in a substitute assignment, candidate will not be eligible for benefits.
