- The Surgical Technologist Department Pool is a member of the health care team who performs technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of an RN according to accepted clinical standards of care.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program
- CST (Surgical Tech) certification
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Specific Skills:
- Must have knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up as well as laser equipment use and maintenance.
- Equipment use and maintenance appropriate for position

- Interpersonal skills
